The Dorchester refurbished three of its most prestigious suites in 2007. The Audley, Terrace and Harlequin Suites, collectively known in the hotel as the ‘roof suites’ for their lofty position on the top floor of the hotel, have been completely refurbished by renowned designer, Alexandra Champalimaud.

Discretely reminiscent of the Hollywood glamour long associated with the hotel, the design of these suites emulates the style in which The Dorchester was originally built in the 1930’s while remaining fresh, modern and luxurious. All three roof suites have large outside terraces, which enjoy unrivalled views over London and a team of dedicated butlers on hand to take care of guests’ every wish. The butlers are led by Head Butler, Paul Pritchard, who has looked after royalty, presidents and aristocracy from around the world. Formerly a Senior Footman at Buckingham Palace, Paul has such an encyclopaedic knowledge of etiquette and impeccable valeting skills that he could ‘out-butle’ Jeeves.

Having also previously worked as a butler at other five star hotels, Paul is accustomed to taking care of guests’ demands no matter how last minute or seemingly impossible. Whether it’s planning a surprise dinner, packing numerous suitcases or tying a formal kimono, Paul remains cool, calm and collected.
