Guests entering The Dorchester are greeted with the stunning vista of
The Promenade, which stretches the same length as the London landmark, Nelson's Column. Refurbished in 2005 by Thierry Despont, The Promenade is a series of rich, warm, intimate spaces culminating in a stunning, oval leather bar at the end of the room.
Very much the heart of the hotel, The Promenade is open all day for informal dining serving breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and a light supper menu. Guests can recline on comfortable, high-backed, tufted divans while enjoying a traditional afternoon tea that was once again named the best in London by the British Tea Council in 2007.
Voted by toptable diners, The Promenade has also been awarded with a toptable Gold Award 2008.
