Mad Hatter's Tea Party returns for October half term

14 July 2010 The Promenade at The Dorchester will once again be transformed into a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party by English National Ballet for October half term.
From Monday 25 to Friday 29 October 2010, The Dorchester will be putting on its special afternoon tea with entertainment by English National Ballet’s young dancers inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland.  Dancers dressed as some of the favourite characters will be found pirouetting, plié-ing and jeté-ing amongst the children and the specially created decorations and flower displays. Children can look out for favourite characters including the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, the Dormouse and Alice herself.

Accompanying adults will be able to sink back into The Promenade’s inviting sofas and enjoy the entertainment with a glass of champagne, delicious savoury finger sandwiches, homemade scones and a selection of indulgent cakes and pastries.

Afternoon tea sittings are at 2.15pm and at 4.45pm, and are priced at £49.00 per adult including a glass of Champagne and £15.00 for children under seven and £30.00 for children aged eight to twelve.  (Prices are inclusive of VAT and exclusive of service charge at 12.5%).  For every Children’s Story Time Afternoon Tea that is ordered £1 will be donated to Cancer Research UK.  For reservations, please telephone The Dorchester on +44 (0)20 7629 8888 or email restaurants.uk@dorchestercollection.com
